26th April 2026 @ Northcote

with Cecily.

Community Kirtan

  • Join Cecily for an uplifting evening of Kirtan - a joyful, heart-centred practice rooted in Bhakti yoga.

Kirtan is a form of call-and-response chanting, where voices come together in a shared rhythm and melody. You don’t need any previous experience, a “good” singing voice, or knowledge of the chants - simply come as you are. Whether you choose to sing, listen, or quietly absorb the vibrations, you are welcome to participate in a way that feels right for you.

Through mantra, music, and collective energy, Kirtan offers a powerful opportunity to soften the mind, open the heart, and reconnect with a sense of presence and joy. This practice invites deep relaxation, emotional release, and a feeling of connection - both within yourself and with the community around you.

Expect a nurturing, inclusive space where sound becomes meditation and devotion is expressed through shared song.

No experience required, all voices, hearts, and levels welcome.

  • When: Sunday 26th April
    Time: 7pm-8.30pm
Where: Fort Green Northcote. 202A High Street Northcote.

  • Free for members or $15 drop in.

Introduction to Breathwork, Kriya & Meditation

3rd May 2026 @ Northcote

with Madeline.

  • Join Madeline for a deep dive into breath work, Mantra and Kriya.

This session is both educational and deeply experiential. You won’t just sit and listen. You’ll practice and explore various techniques and their application on and off the mat.

During this workshop, we will explore:

    – The foundations of mantra meditation
    – Introductory kriya and breath based practices
    - How to build a simple, sustainable meditation practice at home

You will receive a universal mantra and clear instruction on how to work with it. You’ll leave with take-home practices that are realistic and able to integrate into life on and off the mat. This work is rooted in ancient yogic wisdom but taught in a way that makes sense for modern life.

Benefits of these practices can include:

Reducing stress and feelings of overwhelm.
Increase clarity, vitality and self awareness.
Learn how to regulate your system.

This is an entry point to a regular meditation practice. From here, you may choose to go deeper into personal mantra initiation and advanced kriya work.

If you’ve been feeling the pull toward meditation but haven’t known where to begin, this is a perfect place to start.

  • When: Sunday 3rd May
    Time: 1pm-3pm.
Where: Fort Green Northcote. 202A High Street Northcote.

  • $44 for members & $55 for drop in.
